This is our very first installation of the 2022-designed Tru-Gard™ Mesh Barrier System.
Our client came to us wanting to create a super-safe pedestrian zone around the perimeter of their new-build distribution centre. One of their main concerns was the close proximity and height that they would be stacking pallets adjacent to the walkway. The hazard they identified was the possibility of falling objects or pallets tumbling into the pedestrian zone and causing harm to those on foot. They requested a tall barrier system that would provide two-fold protection against vehicle impact and toppling items.
To provide the solution we designed a modular kit that combined our regular Tru-Gard™ Safety Barrier with high support posts and a tailored mesh unit to act as a ‘net’ for falling objects. The specifications for the complete kit include:
- Tall support posts 2400mmW
- Barrier rails 2400mmW (a choice of 1, 2, or 3 rails can be applied)
- Fabricated mesh unit measuring 2250mmW x 1210mmH
- Available in powder-coat for internal or dry use, or;
- Galvanised-only or yellow-over-galvanised for external use
- All fixings included
NB: the pallet-stop floor angles seen in these photos are not part of the kit. They are available separately in two size options and can be seen on our ‘Accessories‘ page. The ones pictured at this site were modified slightly to our client’s special requirement, so are slightly taller than our standard specifications. Modification requests like this are usually workable so don’t hesitate to discuss your specific requirements with us!
