Golden Bay is widely regarded as one of the most beautiful spots in New Zealand, producing some of the best fruit in the country. Imagine life in this corner of the world, working in the sun, producing top quality produce and generally living the dream.
Business has been growing steadily here for years and this fruit producer needed to expand their infrastructure by building a large new pack house. A lot of expense is outlaid when constructing a building of this size and capacity. Considering the heavy duty work that’s to be carried out within, including the constant use of forklifts and other vehicles, protection of the new walls and doorways was a high priority for the business.
Tru-Gard™ 610-1 Safety Barrier is the perfect choice for protection against accidental side-swipes by passing vehicles, with the added bonus of creating a clear pedestrian walkway, where necessary, in which staff members of foot can feel secure walking around the plant. We recommended Tru-Gard™ Personnel Gates to slow down pedestrian traffic at the main vehicle thoroughfares, where barrier cannot be used to block the way, giving peace of mind to both drivers and those on foot.
The company also installed a number of industrial doors in the new plant, with various incoming and outgoing functions. All of these are valuable chattels at high risk of impact by passing vehicles. In some cases the safety barrier or standard bollards were enough to mitigate the risk, however some doorways were exposed to larger vehicles with the propensity to do a lot more damage. Note the Tru-Gard™ Door Frame Bollards protecting those at most danger. A heavy-duty, full-framed approach to protecting such valuable resources!
We’re proud to have been involved in this project from the outset, protecting such a fantastic building, as well as the staff who are lucky enough to work here. We want them ‘living the dream’ for many years to come!
