The managers of this large Auckland Coldstore asked for our help to look after all the newly installed rapid doors, loading dock systems and automation systems at their site. They also employ a number of staff who they wanted protected against forklift traffic and the continual movement of goods in and out of the store. The standard 910mmH Barrier with double railings is our ‘go-to product’ for the majority of areas around sites like this, so we maximised its presence for full protection. Tru-Gard™ Personnel Gates were also included to provide safe crossing points to the warehouse floor. These are designed to mount safety signs on either side and we’re thrilled to see the client has followed this recommendation with their matching-yellow ‘warning’ signs. Top marks team!
Tru-Gard™ Door Frame Bollards were installed to protect the [very tall] doors from damage; these are custom made to fit any opening, so size was not a problem! Door Frame Bollards are absolutely worth their weight in gold, because doors like these are an expensive investment and also vulnerable to knocks and scrapes by forklifts and other vehicles. These tough steel bollards will prevent damaging blows and costly downtime due to broken doors.
Tru-Gard™ Breakaway Bollards were installed to protect various electrical equipment, such as door and dock control boxes. These bollards are attached to a breakaway base plate with shear bolts. They are designed to absorb the impact of a crash while at the same time breaking free of the base, preventing damage to the floor which can sometimes happen with bollards that are bolted directly onto concrete groundwork.
